Komori System 38S, 16-page web offset printing machines will be set up at education publishing companies WPC Matbaacilik and BRY Matbaacilik. Hamdi Kaymak, General Manager of Aras Makina, Komori’s agent in Turkey and the Turkic Republics, indicated that along with the machine that will be set up at Ertem Basim in Ankara, 3 more machines will be put in to use in the second quarter.

The Komori System 38S web offset printing machines stand out with their compact design, the fact that they take up less space, their high printing quality, user friendliness and finishing options which include the possibility of 12 different folds and versions.

The installation of the third Komori web offset printing machine at Ertem basim has been scheduled, and immediately following this two more Komori web offset printing machines will be installed in Istanbul. WPC Matbaacilik which serves publishing houses and BRY (Birey) Matbaacilik which prints its own publication will both have machines installed and in operation in the second quarter.

Hamdi Kaymak, General Manager of Aras Makina, Komori’s agent in Turkey and the Turkic Republics: “Our Komori System 38S web offset machines have full high automation”

Hamdi Kaymak: “Our machine is 16-page and has a speed of 50,000. It has full high automation. That is to say, automatic task allocation control, automatic pressure control, and a fully automatic book mould change system, are integrated as standard. Moreover, with the various folding alternatives, much more than just the normal folding requests can be met. It is very fast thanks to these automations which move swiftly from one task to another.
Once the data from the tasks has been collected and the type of folding that is required is clear, the machine does this itself automatically. The time it takes to go from one task to the next is 5 minutes at the most.

These machines have been designed to work non-stop for 24 hours according to the business needs. Another one of the biggest advantages of this machine is its low waste rate. Naturally web printing machines have a higher waste rate at first but thanks to the Komori 38S web offset printing machine’s standard automation technology, it is possible to go from one task to another with around a 300 page waste. This low waste rate is also appealing to printing customers. In publishing, as it is usually the company who provides the paper themselves, a low waste rate means less cost for them. This is an important advantage and a special feature which increases printing demands in Komori web offset technology.

As a result of several technological advantages, the Komori web offset printing machines are continuing to maintain their open market leading position in the 16 and 32-page web markets both in Turkey and the rest of the world.
